Inspired by the three-track format of the classic Yes albums Close to the Edge and Relayer, Three was my effort at a full-blown prog rock extravaganza. "Side one" is a 21-minute epic suite evoking a journey along Route 66. "Side two" is two shorter tracks (roughly 8 minutes each). The first is an effort at a free-form group improv by one person on 6 instruments (!) and the second is an over-the-top prog jam with a number of recurring themes.
